Only those of you who reside in coffins, nailed shut, and deep in the ground will have failed to notice that Octeaber got into full swing this week.
The first of our Halloween themed fundraising tea tasting events – ‘Assam-I-Tea Ville Horror‘- graced the world with its presence on Wednesday at the characterful Mugen Tea House on Scotland Street. I wanted to commemorate the awesome spirit and generosi-tea of those who attended in the most slushy, American and Bob Geldof propaganda way possible…through an overly emotive and sentimental video! (I am also knackered after working a six day week at work, project managing Octeaber and writing a devastatingly witty blog every day, so my ability to write words – ANY LOL-WORTHY WORDS – is limited today. Soz! Normal service resumes tomorrow after uninterrupted sleep).
In all seriousness though, thank you to the gorgeous, dapper and altruistic folk who came on Wednesday. Big shout out to Siobhan AKA blogger Rock n Roses who wrote a spiffing review of the whole thing, which you can read here; it is far more coherent, sensible and devoid of knob jokes than the dross I would come up with today!
Don’t worry if you missed Wednesday (I know GBBO was our competition, but you can watch Berry & Hollywood lick your iced buns on iPlayer any time you like you selfish fools!), as you can always come to our next one! Little Tea Shop of Horrors is happening on Saturday 24 October (so no baking related, washing hair or awkward sex accident excuses), 2-4pm at Mugen Tea House. We will be doing a tea tasting marathon of THIRTY ONE – yes you read it right – teas, with a one-liner review competition, cake and more tea related giveaways than you can shake a stick at. Book tickets here, which are only a fiver with proceeds going to SYEDA.
Anyway, on with the video! Every time I click my fingers another brew is abused through mindless tea bagging…
